Anita Hill - Clarence Thomas HearingsAdapted for the stage by J-Powers |
The Hill-Thomas Hearings, conducted by the United States Senate Judiciary Committee to investigate Prof. Anita Hill's allegations of prior sexual harassment by Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, were broadcast nationally on American television from October 11 to October 13, 1991. Although the hearings themselves had no legal significance, to many observers they symbolized a public referendum on sexual harassment and other gender inequities in late twentieth-century America. |
